Biography

Tarun Das, a distinguished Indian industrialist, has shaped Indian industry through his long tenure at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), serving as its director general and later as chief mentor. Educated at the University of Calcutta and Manchester University, and honored with a DSc from the University of Warwick.

Das has chaired significant international dialogues and served on boards of major companies like Haldia Petrochemicals and Bajaj Auto Finance. Awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2006, he remains a guiding force in global business as a trustee of the Aspen Institute's Indian chapter.
