Dr. Sujatha Ramadorai is a distinguished mathematician known for her contributions to algebraic theory, arithmetic geometry, and noncommutative Iwasawa theory. Her work, which has influenced fields like number theory and cryptography, earned her the ICTP Ramanujan Prize, marking her as the first and only Indian recipient.
A vocal advocate for women in science, Dr. Ramadorai also serves on advisory councils, including the Scientific Advisory Council to the Prime Minister. Her career demonstrates that excellence in pure mathematics can coexist with passionate advocacy for equity and inclusion.
